Shawa Consult has advised buyers in Nairobi since 2018. Before we put a development in front of you, we look at the location, the developer, the pricing and what it is likely to rent or sell for later.

What we look at depends on why you are buying.
Buying a home to live in
We spend the time on the layout, the light, the noise from the road and the walk to the shops, not just the price per square metre.
Buying to let
We look at who rents in that street, what similar units let for, and how long they sit empty between tenants.
Buying off-plan
We check what the developer has finished before, how the payment plan is tied to construction, and what happens if it runs late.
Holding for the long term
We weigh the roads, zoning and new supply coming to the area over the next few years.
